FEI FEI SUN AT MAX MARA, VIA SENATO.
After Jiejie Liu Wen became the key criterion of an oriental face in the international market, a myriad of Chinese models soon follow suit to become noticed.
I remembered rooting for Fei Fei Sun at the 2008 Elite Model Look contest only for her to come in third, but that loss definitely did not dampen her from going places. I mean, look at her now. Walking for numerous brands (opened the Rag & Bone Spring/Summer 2012), fronting campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Lane Crawford and DKNY fragrance, along with a monthly editorial rotation in various editions of Vogue— definitely on a winning streak!
Outside Max Mara show, I caught a glimpse of the Asian beauty. In contrast to her devil-may-care studded biker jacket and leather pants she had on, Fei Fei is nothing but saccharine sweet in the flesh. I called out her name amongst the crazy mob of people, signaled her with the camera in my hands as she nodded coyly and smiled. Extremely stunning and fresh faced, Fei Fei is the one to watch in the coming years.
